Luther is represented as smart, witty and intelligent this is a counter type as black people are not usually represented in this way.

Gustavo Fring from Breaking Bad is represented as a drug dealer and criminal, this is stereotypical as black people are often represented with crime and drugs

Micky from doctor who meets the stereotype that black people are not very smart and lower in the social class.

White

Doctor foster meets some stereotypes that white people are cast into good roles and are educated. Dr Foster is obviously a doctor and so meets the stereotype, however she is mentally unstable and so throws the stereotype off balance.

Sherlock Holmes is arrogant and educated, this is very stereotypical of a white male in TV dramas.

Gene Hunt is arrogant and bad mannered, he is self entitled giving him dominance. This is very stereotypical British male in 80's.

South Asian

DS Sunnil Khan he is very hard working, compassionate and intelligent this is stereotypical Asian.

Sayid Jarrah is represented as the criminal and so he meets the stereotype that east Asians can be crooked.

Afran Dalal is represented as being hard working and isn't working for much, he wants to help his family. he is then used by the Brits. he meets the stereotype as being hard working for little reward.

George Takei played Hikaru Sulu in star trek he is smart and respected meeting the
stereotypes.
