UK Tribes

The group that I best belong to is the Aspirant group mainly with a touch of both Leading Edge and Mainstream and one thing from Urban. I see myself more as an Aspirant person for the following reasons.

Aspirant

Trendies are always up to date with fashion and music, They live on the bleeding edge of pop culture. I believe I fit into that bracket because of the amount of time i spend online clothes shopping. I spend a lot of money on clothes and i feel a bit silly if im not wearing the nicest shoes or someone has a newer jumper than me. I hate myself for typing this as now i realise how pathetic it is but i cant help myself as there is just so much good stuff coming out on online clothing shops such as ASOS and Size. I feel up to date with the music scene because i listen to Capital FM in the car that covers pop music, I hate it however as i feel that it is all generic auto tuned crap that pretentious artists (if you can call them artists) are spewing out to there "fans" who will buy anything. A lot of it is American and i cant stand any of it all that whip ney ney rubbish. I only listen to Capital due to the fact i one day hope that there will be some good music to come out again like there was in 2007-2011 i have fond memories of the music back then. I keep up to date with the other music such as electronic, Alt and house through media such as youtube or itunes. sometimes i download a new album illegally off the internet so i can keep up with artists new songs. Aspirants also mention "football lads" "love house/garage music" i have to say i fit that description quite well as i enjoy my football and support Leicester City and i keep very up to date with the latest house and garage music through Spinnin Records. 

Leading Edge

One part of the leading edge tribe is Creatives who make things both physically and digitally. I have built computers and fixed things like iphones. I am also hands on and have enjoyed making things in DT since year 7. In my past time (when i get it) i like to prat around on FL studios and create digital music as i enjoy that kind of thing. I have also built PC's for family members in the past. At some point i would like to have a bit of fun with a venture i have thought off which is website creation as well. Leading Edge also mentions urban art such as plane clean edges and raw steel kind of interior art and i really like that kind of thing and in fact my room has that theme to it.

Mainstream

The only thing that i can relate to in the mainstream category is sporty junkie who is all about the win. Being a swimmer i feel that this encapsulates me and my sport perfectly in swimming there is no point doing it if you are not all about the win and are not competing on a high level, it consumes such a large part of your life its hard for you not to pay attention to it. i dont really like the rest of the things to do with mainstream im not about though like chav and bling.

Urban

The only thing i have in common is the get paid crew to some extent, i am all about getting money, having a job and generating more money through increasing my links in business and creating ideas/ starting a business. however the one thing i do not have in common with urban get paid crew is a bad past i mean im not perfect but i was never in with a bad crowd.

I dont specifically think that i model myself of a person or particular trend or consciously at least. i do however keep an eye on whats going on and what other people are wearing. I wouldn't say in any way im a trend setter but im always on apps and social media seeing whats new. Im sure there are hundreds of people out there with the same fashion sense as me but i like to mix and match and see what i like.
